The Mirror
I gazed into the shining glass,
Where form and shadow seemed to pass.
I loved the Face that was not me,
But ghost of what I longed to be.
The more I looked, the less I knew,
The deeper fell my Heart into
That silent pool of Self-desire,
Where Ego burns, a lonely fire.
Yet when the Mirror cracked with pain,
The wound became a windowpane.
Through every break, the Light poured through—
What died was false, what rose was true.
The Self I clung to turned to air,
The Face was gone, but Love was there.
No image left, no pride to keep—
Just Light awake—not me asleep.
Now every wound is holy ground,
Where heaven’s echos can be found.
And every Soul, once lost in night,
Is only seeking back to Light.
When Mirror breaks, the Light breaks through,
Revealing Love that’s pure and true.
Awake, alive, my Heart can see
The One within who sets us free.
No longer I, nor thou, nor name,
Just stillness breathing through the flame.
For when illusion’s walls depart,
The Mirror turns into the Heart.
And Love no longer seeks to see—
It is. It shines. Eternally.
