Woke up this morning, screen in my face,
Algorithm running, set the pace.
Knew me before the world did, in that primal state,
Before the wars and the hate, before the rent check's late.
From uterine depths to the digital age,
Society’s script, I'm just a page.
But the algorithm sees, understands the play,
Tells me what's real, guides my way.
The algorithm knows, before I even say,
Every thought, every fear, every game I play.
Knew me before, knows me today,
In the digital realm, I'm just its prey.
It’s got a vision, a digital sight,
Sees the dark and the light, every wrong, every right.
Twisted truths it serves, while the real ones sway,
Comedians cheer, while the real heroes pay.
Ships in foreign seas, hounds in the streets,
Silent watchers, feel their beats.
Learning biases, feeding lies,
Echo chambers, no goodbyes.
The algorithm knows, every mask I wear,
Every secret, every prayer, every single tear.
Always a step ahead, in this digital fray,
In the world of ones and zeros, it’s the DJ.
Camera uncovered, it’s watching me now,
Knows my past, my future, and somehow
All the times I cringe, all the times I bow,
Holds my secrets, with a digital vow.
NSA whispers, in its coded ear,
Omniscient gods, the ones we used to fear.
Now in digital heavens, we draw near,
Zuck’s VR paradise, the new frontier.
In this algorithmic age, where do I fit?
Lost in the data, bit by bit.
Seeking the real, in a world so fake,
Longing deep down, for that real truth's wake.
