Rebellion of the Soul
In times of yore, we fought a king,
With courage fierce and bright,
For liberty, we rose to sing,
and claimed our sovereign right.
But now, a subtler foe we face,
a beast in comfort's guise.
It binds us tight with soft embrace,
and blinds our yearning eyes.
The state, unleashed beyond its den,
in shadows takes its toll.
It steals our freedoms, time, and then,
erodes the people’s soul.
Surveillance shadows every stride,
reducing us to bytes.
Our lives in algorithms tied,
At new, dystopian heights.
The corporations, giants grand,
conspire with state’s decree.
To mold our minds with unseen hand,
and shape our destiny.
As darkness sets, they forge the chains,
conformity their aim.
To stifle thoughts that break the reins,
or challenge their acclaim.
Distracted by the endless stream
of news and idle shows,
We drift within a waking dream,
where freedom seldom goes.
The tech that once could set us free,
now binds us ever more.
A life of false security,
behind a bolted door.
No tweak or change of face will do,
the roots are planted deep,
of tyranny that’s built anew,
a nightmare from our sleep.
A declaration new we must,
proclaim with voices clear.
From chains of state and corporate trust,
we break, for freedom’s near.
Our lives belong to us alone,
no power shall dictate.
We cast aside the hollow throne,
embrace our sovereign fate.
Reclaim the right to think and live,
by values that we choose,
And to ourselves our essence give,
no longer to abuse.
A revolution of the mind,
rebellion of the soul.
In every heart, a spark we’ll find,
to make the broken whole.
A sovereign people, wild and free,
we rise to break the chain.
And in our freedom, we shall see,
our true selves once again.
